The manual uses images when “Honeycome Dolce” is installed.

  • ○Viewing Your System Information (Running the DirectX Diagnostic Tool) ① Hold the Windows key and press the R key on your keyboard to display the "Run" command window.
    ② Type dxdiag in the entry field and press "OK".
    ③ The DirectX diagnostic tool will launch. In the "System" tab, you can view your OS, Processor, Memory, Display, Graphics, and VRAM information.
    *Pressing "Save All Information" will save your system information as a text file.
    When contacting customer support, please attach this text file.

    Controls

    • ○ Windows Basic ControlsThe following are descriptions of the basic game controls used in this manual.

      ①Left-Click
      Press the left button on your mouse.
      ②Right-Click (Drag)
      Press and hold the right mouse button and move the mouse.

      We often use the phrase "select the (X)" in this manual.
      For clarification, this is defined as moving your mouse to the item indicated by (X), then left-clicking it.
      For Example: The sentence "Select the Confirm button" indicates that you should move the mouse pointer over the Confirm button and left-click it.

      Note: Some operations may ask you to copy, move, or delete files from your computer. If you do not know how to perform these operations, please contact your computer manufacturer for help.

      ○ Camera Controls
      The camera can be controlled in the game screen as long as the mouse cursor is not over a menu or button.


      ○ Adjusting the Slider/Colors
      When adjusting slider variables using the mouse, you can also adjust the color by using the color panel.
      Note that the mouse cannot be used to adjust transparency in this way, as there is no transparency option on this screen.


      ○ Move/Rotate/Size
      Characters can be moved, rotated, and adjusted with the axis on the appropriate model, or by entering numerical values.
      Sliding a Manipulation Panel (the squares by the axis) allows you to adjust two axes at once.

      Use this panel to indirectly move the selected object.

      When a map has been loaded, adjust it here.More

      Displays/hides the camera's focal point.

      Toggle display of the axis that controls movement and IK/FK.

      Toggle camera lock on/off.
      ・While enabled, the camera cannot be moved unless the Alt key is held down.

      Toggle display of marks displayed for "no obj" gimmick items.

      Toggle display of the Manipulation Panels used to move models.

      Toggle display of the focal point displayed on characters and items.

      Undo : Undoes the most recent action.

      Redo : Re-performs an action undone with the Undo command.
      ・Undo cannot be performed for the following actions:
      -Loading scenes, characters, and items
      -Deleting characters or items

      ○ Check Boxes
      Check boxes allow you to toggle options between ON and OFF.


      ○ Close
      Close or temporarily hide the window.


    The User Folder

    • Selecting "Open game Installation Folder," will display the "UserData" folder. This folder contains data saved from a number of different sources.
      ・Back up saved data by making a copy of the "UserData" folder.

      ・For instructions on how to create and handle file formats that can be loaded into the game (such as .wav audio files, .png image files, and enabling transparency settings), please contact your computer's manufacturer.
      ・Be aware that loading large image or audio files may cause performance issues with your software.

      ・"frame," "bg", "pattern", and "pattern_thumb" images are not saved with scene data.
      These images will fail to load if the correct data cannot be found in the appropriate folders when loading the scene.

    Game Screen

      Use the mouse to control the camera, and the various shortcuts to manipulate objects.

      ③ Registering CamerasYou can save/load up to 10 cameras. Saved camera data includes position, angle, tilt, and perspective.
      Click the "SAVE" icon above a number (camera slot) to save your current camera data in that slot.
      Click a number to load the camera data saved in that slot.
      Note: Camera data is saved on a scene-by-scene basis.

      ④ Switching CamerasUse this to switch between any camera items added to the scene.More

      *Basic Lighting Information

      Toggles the light on/off.
      ・Display Target
      Toggles display of the axis.
      ・Color
      You can use the color panel to edit the item color.
      ・Intensity
      Adjusts the light intensity.
      ・Self-Shadow
      Toggles display of shadows created by this light.


    soundThis section describes how to set background music and load external audio.

      ・BGM
      This option allows you to select a BGM from the data you have installed. Note: "BGM" and "Load File" cannot be used simultaneously.
      ・Load File
      This option allows you to play .wav format files that have been added to the "audio" folder.More
      *"BGM" and "Load File" cannot be used simultaneously. Only 8-bit and 16-bit .wav files are compatible with this software.
      *ILLGAMES will not answer questions regarding .wav format files.

      ③ Audio PlayerUse the player to select, play, and pause audio. Player controls are the same for both the "BGM" and "Load File" options.

      Displays a list of the available audio files.
      Play
      Plays the audio file selected from the list.

      Stops the audio file currently playing.

    Use this menu to configure system settings, save your scenes, etc.

      *Sliders can be used to adjust the volume, speed, size, etc. Left is slow/small, and right is fast/large.

      ・Screen Settings
      Adjusts screen resolution and Windowed Mode settings.
      ・Audio Settings
      Sets the volume of various audio types.
      *These settings also affect the game as well. Be aware that any changes made here will also be applied in-game.

      ・Camera Settings

      Adjusts the speed of camera rotation on the X-axis (vertical rotation).
      ├ Camera Speed (Y)
      Adjusts the speed of camera rotation on the Y-axis (horizontal rotation).

      Adjusts the speed of camera movement.

      Sets the distance moved (as a numerical value) for each snap motion interval made while holding the V button on the keyboard and moving the axis.

      Shadow Type
      Adjusts the appearance of shadows for basic items in the scene.

      ② Character SettingsSetting scaling while using a character axis can cause visual bugs. If this occurs, please change the scaling method.
      ・Unlimited
      While scaling at the same size, shakable objects will not remain in a fixed position.
      ・Same-Size
      When scaling a character, this setting ensures the XYZ dimensions remain consistent.
      ・Disable Shake
      While scaling, shakable objects will remain in a fixed position.

    ●Key Light : This section describes how to adjust the default lighting of an entire scene.


    • ① Key LightDisplays the Key Light Settings.

      ② SettingsThis window allows you to adjust the light source.
      ・Light ON/OFF
      Toggles the light on/off.
      ・Color
      You can use the color panel to edit the item color.
      ・Intensity
      Adjusts the light intensity.

      Toggles display of shadows created by this light.
      ・Light (X)
      Adjusts the light's X-axis.
      ・Light (Y)
      Adjusts the light's Y-axis.

      *Light strength and direction can be adjusted via slider.
      *Numbers can also be entered directly to adjust these values.
      *Selecting will return that setting to its default.


    ●Visual Effects : This option allows you to toggle the display of visual effects.
    As each map has its own default visual effects, loading a map will overwrite your currently configured visual effects.
    To prevent visual effects from being overwritten, select "No" under "Initialize Visual Effects When Selecting a Map" in the Config menu.More


    • ① Visual EffectsSelect this option to display a list of effects.

      ② Effects listThis option allows you to toggle the display of visual effects.

      ・Background SettingsSets the background and background color for the entire scene.

      ・Environmental Lighting SettingsSets the type of environmental lighting.

      ・Color AdjustmentsYou can adjust the visual feel of the entire scene with Filters.

      ・FogYou can customize fog settings here.

    • ・SSAOAdjusts how shadows are displayed.

      ・Depth of FieldAdds a blur effect when objects are far away.

      ・BloomToggles gradation and blurring from lighting effects.

      ・Environmental LightingYou can customize the color of the light that affects everything in the environment.

      ・VignettesMakes the edges of the screen grow dark.

      ・Other: Restore DefaultsRestores the visual effect settings to their defaults.

      *Items set here will be saved for the entire scene.

    ●Save as New / Overwrite / Load : Save and load scenes you've created here.

    • ① Save as NewSelect "Save" to save the current status of your scene. The file name will be set to the date and time the data was created.
      *To find saved data, check the User Folder.More

      ② OverwriteSelecting "Overwrite" will save the current state. Be aware that this will overwrite the data that has been loaded.More

      ③ LoadSelect "Load" to load saved scene data.More


    ●These options allow you to reset the current scene and exit this program. Warning: Current scene data will be lost. Make sure to save first!


    • ① ResetResets the current scene

      ② Back to TitleReturn to the title screen.

    Workspace

    The Workspace allows you to select, delete, and link (set parent/child relationships) objects added to the scene.


    • ① ListThis window displays a list of objects added to the scene.
      ・Select to toggle the display of the corresponding object.

      ② Function Button
      obj copy
      Copies the object selected in the list.
      ・Any parent/child linked objects will retain those relationships when copied.More
      *Hold the Ctrl key and press the D key to repeat the previous action.

      move copy
      This option becomes available when selecting multiple objects.
      ・Copies the position information of the parent object to the child object.More

      parent
      This option becomes available when selecting multiple objects.
      Links selected objects, setting one as the parent.More

      release
      This option becomes available when selecting a child object.
      Unlinks the selected object from its parent.More

      Delete
      Deletes the object selected in the list.
      Warning: Deleting an object is irreversible. Use with care!

      Folder
      Creates an invisible folder item.
      *The folder name will be displayed in yellow. Enter a custom name, as required.More

      camera
      Creates a camera object that can be used to change viewpoints.
      ・The folder name will be displayed in yellow. Enter a custom name, as required.More

      route
      Sets a route that an object will follow.More


    ●Selecting Multiple Objects : Selecting multiple objects allows you to control all of them simultaneously.


    • First select the primary object in the Workspace. Then, hold down the Ctrl key and select additional objects to set them as sub objects.More
      Manipulating the main object via the axis will simultaneously manipulate all sub objects.More
      ・To set a character, select their name.
      ・All objects will rotate around their respective centers, regardless of primary/sub status.More
      Note: Selecting multiple objects again will cancel previous selections.

    • The following is an example of how to set primary/sub objects.
      • 1. First select "Teapot" in the Workspace to set it as the primary object.
      • 2. Then hold Ctrl and select "Teapot" to set it as a sub object.
      • Note: All objects will rotate around their respective centers.

    • ●Selecting All Objects in an Area


    • After selecting the primary object in the Workspace, hold Shift and select another object. This will automatically set all objects between the two as sub objects.More
      • 1. Select the primary object in the Workspace.
      • 2.Hold Shift and select another object.
      • 3.All objects between the two will be set as subs.
    ●move copy : You can copy a selected object's position data to multiple other objects simultaneously.
    • After selecting a primary and sub object, select "move copy" to copy the primary object's position data to the sub object.More
      Setting parent/child objects allows you to easily move multiple objects while keeping their relative positions intact. Moving a parent will also cause all child objects to move in tandem with it.More

      • 1. First select "Wooden Chair" in the Workspace to set it as the primary object.
      • 2. Then hold Ctrl and select other objects to set them as subs.
      • 3. Press "move copy" to copy the position data over.

    ●Set Base Position : Setting parent/child objects allows you to easily move multiple objects while keeping their relative positions intact. Moving a parent will also cause all child objects to move in tandem with it.
    • For example, placing the Earring item on a character's ear and setting "Head" as the earring's parent keeps it on the character's ear, no matter where or how the character moves.
      Note: A character cannot be set as a parent item. However, a character's Part item (e.g. Head, Hand) under a Group subfolder can be designated as a parent item.
      Warning: Deleting a parent object will also delete all of its child items.

    • The following is an example of how to set objects as parent/child. Steps ⑨ and ⑩ describe how to remove parent/child settings.More

    • ⑧ ResultsThe teacup will be added into the "Group: Hands" folder, and even if the character's pose changes the teacup will automatically move in unison with the "Group: Hands" group.
      Note: When setting an object as another object's parent, the child object will be moved into the parent's folder on the Workspace.


    • ⑨ Select the Target Objects to UnlinkSelect "Teacup" in the "Group: Hands" folder.

      ⑩ Remove the Parent/Child SettingClick the "release" button to remove parent/child settings.More

      To set a route as a parent, select this item.More
      Note: Waypoints and the start position cannot be set as a parent.

      The route's start point. ・Displayed on the screen as "S".
      ・Individual objects cannot be moved once following a route. To move these objects, adjust the route.
      ・Point
      The waypoints the object will move to. Objects will move to each waypoint in numerical order.
      ・Up to 10 points can be added.

      ③ Set RouteAdjust the route's settings in this window.
      ・Name
      Change the route name here.
      ・Add
      Adds a waypoint.
      ・Adjust Facing
      Helps adjust object facing when following the route.
      ├ None
      No facing adjustment.
      ├ XY
      Adjusts the object to face the next waypoint and adds angle correction.
      └ Y
      Adjusts the object to face the next waypoint.
      Note: When using the XY or Y options, we recommend setting the object to its default rotation.
      ・Loop
      ├ ON
      Connects the final waypoint to the start position, creating a loop.
      └ OFF
      Stops object movement once it reaches the final waypoint.
      ・Draw Line
      Toggles display of the line (route path).Hiding the line will not affect object movement.
      ・Line Color
      Adjusts the color of the line (route path).

      ④ Root Point SettingsThis is displayed when the start position or a waypoint is selected.
      Here you can configure the path objects will follow when moving to the next waypoint.
      ・Speed
      Object travel speed can be set between 0.1 - 30.0.
      ・Ease
      Sets the behavior of objects when following the route.
      ・Connection
      Sets the shape of the line connecting waypoints.
      ├ Line
      A straight line between points.
      └ Curve
      A target will be displayed on the line. Selecting it displays an axis.
      The axis position serves as a focal point for the curve.
      ・Linking
      Only applicable when the waypoint before the selected waypoint has its Connection set to "Curve".
      This option adjusts the curve of the line connecting the waypoints so that it is smoother.

      ⑤ Route ControllerRoutes in the Workspace will be displayed here.
      The Route Controller allows you to play/pause different routes.
      Note: An active route cannot be edited.
      Displayed to the right of an inactive route.Plays the route.
      Displayed to the right of an active route.Stops the route.
      Displayed when an active route with Loop set to "OFF" reaches its final waypoint.
      Plays all inactive routes.
      Plays all routes from their beginning, regardless of active/inactive status.
      Stops all routes.

    Uploader

    • ■The Uploader allows you to upload data you created, or download data uploaded by others.


    • To use the uploader, you need to register your handle name.
      Enter the "handle name" and select "Apply".
